An epic country on an epic scale, China is a vast landmass brimming with history, culture, and adventure for anyone willing to immerse themselves in a completely different way of life.
Spread out over such a large area, there’s plenty to see and do across China, whether it’s the towering peaks of Tibet, also known as the ‘Roof of the World’, or the bustling streets of the many metropolises such as Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The majority of visitors to China begin their journey in the capital, Beijing, which was showcased on the world stage with the 2008 Olympics.
The city is home to not just some amazing history, such as the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace, but it’s also extremely modern, with glistening skyscrapers and some of the best street food in the world.
Outside of the main cities, the adventure really kicks off, with beautiful scenery such as the Yellow Mountains and the West Lake and sights such as the Liuhe Pagoda and Lingyin Temple.
And, of course, one of the most famous sights in China is the Great Wall, one of the Wonders of the World.
